Patrick-Denis Finet appointed General Manager of Mandarin Oriental Jnan Rahma, Marrakech

Mr. Patrick-Denis Finet has been appointed as General Manager of the Mandarin Oriental Jnan Rahma, Marrakech - a new hotel which is scheduled to open in the second half of 2010.

 Patrick-Denis Finet joined Mandarin Oriental in 2004 as the General Manager of the groups Chiang Mai resort. After successfully launching the resort and spa retreat, Mr Finet was appointed General Manager of Mandarin Oriental Riviera Maya, Mexico which opened to great acclaim in 2008.

Mr Finet has over 30 years of senior management experience in the hospitality industry, including General Manager roles with the Khalifa Group and over four years as General Manager of Le Prince Maurice Hotel in Mauritius.

Mandarin Oriental Jnan Rahma, Marrakech, will be an intimate hideaway set amongst 53 hectares of lush palm grove in the Palmeraie region, surrounded by the Atlas Mountains.

Modelled on traditional palaces and elegant Moroccan residences, the design of this 161-room resort and destination spa is the creation of American artist/designer, Stuart Church who has fashioned many luxurious private residences throughout Morocco. Riad-style accommodations are set around the hotels main oversized pool and offer spectacular views over the Atlas Mountains, the Palmeraie or the hotels verdant grounds.

The 3,800 square meter spa will focus on the holistic well-being of its guests with a wide range of life-enhancing signature programmes created exclusively by Mandarin Oriental as well as specifically developed treatments inspired by local Moroccan traditions and customs such as an extensive hammam.

Surrounded by splendid architecture and interiors, with extensive terraces for al fresco dining, guests will have a choice of eight restaurants and bars offering fine dining including evolved Moroccan, Pan-Asian and European cuisine.

Mandarin Oriental Jnan Rahma, Marrakech is located 20 minutes from the center of Marrakech and 30 minutes from the International Airport.
