Air Partner launches Empty Sectors Consumer Website

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Videos Tuesday, 18 May 2010

Air Partner plc has launched an Empty Sectors consumer website and become the first private jet charter broker to purchase Avinode’s newest software.

The new website, emptysectors.com, features real-time empty leg availability on private jets worldwide, by sector and aircraft, at prices the company claims are up to 75% lower than conventional charter rates.

“The Avinode technology makes Air Partner’s website unique. The integration of their latest Empty Leg Link software into our own system enables us to broaden our marketplace extensively,” said Ben Bewsey, Air Partner Private Jets UK Manager. “This is part of a wider commitment to embrace innovative technology to expand our brand geographically. Previously we provided a competitively-priced empty leg service on request, but this new development makes for a far smoother experience for clients seeking real time information. It should also help reduce the number of ‘empty’ aircraft by making sensible use of their movements.”

Avinode, a B2B platform for buying and selling charter flights, is used in 65 countries, primarily Europe, Russia, North America and the Middle East with a progressive expansion into Asia, Africa and South America. With Air Partner having its sights set on further geographic expansion, particularly in Asia and the Middle East, the Avinode 24/7 electronic system will be a valuable tool in its marketing activity in these regions.

Johan Sjöberg, Avinode’s Director of Sales, said, “We’re very happy to see that Air Partner, a long term Avinode member and a well respected name in air charter, has taken such a huge interest in our Empty Leg Link technology. We anticipate that their new venture will be a stunning success and we look forward to a long term relationship with Air Partner.”
