Aston signs New Hotel in Kalimantan, Indonesia

Aston International has signed an agreement with PT. Transera Putra Khatulistiwa to manage a new 4 star hotel and convention center in Pontianak, the capital city of Indonesia’s West Kalimantan province.

The hotel, scheduled to open in October 2010 as the Aston Millenia Pontianak Hotel & Convention Center, will feature 150 rooms and suites as well as comprehensive conference facilities that include a grand ball room, a 1000 sqm exhibition hall and various auxiliary meeting rooms.

 The new hotel and convention center will also offer a wide range of recreational facilities such as a full service spa, reflexology center, 24 Karaoke rooms, a billiard area, a retail arcade and 2 restaurants.

After the recently opened Aston Samarinda Hotel & Convention Center and Aston Balikpapan Hotel & Residence - which is currently in its soft opening stage, this new property will be our 5th in Kalimantan and our second Kalimantan property featuring large scale conference facilities geared towards the growing domestic and regional MICE market.”
