Mr. Andreas Oberoi has been appointed as General Manager of The St. Regis Bangkok. The hotel, located in a prime location in the centre of Bangkok and right next to Rajadamri skytrain station, is scheduled to open late 2010.

With his legacy as General Manager of the renowned The St. Regis Mardavall Majorca Resort, Spain, Andreas has thus far enjoyed an impressive career spanning over 25 years in major destinations around the globe.

His career with Starwood Hotels & Resorts started when he successfully opened The St. Regis Mardavall Majorca Resort. Under his leadership, the hotel became one of the top performing hotels in the European Division. He brought similar successes to Hotel Romazzino, Costa Smeralda, Porto Cervo where he was General Manager prior to his current assignment.

With a prestigious location along Rajadamri Road, the hotel is part of The St. Regis Hotel and Residences Bangkok’s 41 floors complex.

The St. Regis Residences consist of 53 private residences with a dedicated private lounge and a host of facilities that includes children’s playroom, exclusive pool, jacuzzi and sauna area. These residences boast the best views of the city.

The hotel features 227 rooms with 51 Suites of sizes up to 800 square metres. The arrival experience starts on 12th floor Sky Lobby which overlooks the city skyline.

The Viu restaurant, located on the 12th floor next to the sky lobby and offering views over the Royal Bangkok Sports Club, will serve selected menus throughout the day, transforming in the evenings to a seductive dining venue, with an emphasis on grills.

Decanter, featuring a gentlemen’s club ambience with an oriental influence, will offer an extensive cellar from some of the world’s most celebrated vineyards with a private room for exclusive tastings or wine dinners.

The Drawing Room and St. Regis Bar are ideal locations to relax and meet with colleagues or friends whilst enjoying the traditional Afternoon Tea or over a glass of champagne, served to you as the hotel revives the art of Champagne sabering in the evenings.

Jo-Jo will be an Asian inspired lounge and bar on the lobby level.
