Damien Pfirsch joins Minor as E-Commerce Director

Minor International has appointed Damien Pfirsch as E-commerce Director.

Pfirsch joins Minor from his previous E-Commerce Director role with Exotissimo Travel Group, Bangkok, where projects included re-conceptualising and relaunching the destination management company’s b2c and b2b websites, spearheading search engine optimization efforts and online advertising activities, developing online partnerships with travel and hospitality companies, driving new product development, and managing travel consultant teams in five countries, as well as leading training activities and introducing advanced sales techniques.

An MBA in Business specialising in Marketing and International Management opened the gateway to a challenging yet rewarding career journey. A digital and travel entrepreneur professional with a successful track record for online revenue growth, Pfirsch’s hands-on experience also encompasses analysing and identifying market trends, developing new online service offers, and cementing long term business relationships. An in-depth knowledge of the latest internet marketing strategies and initiatives across the travel industry serves to broaden his forward thinking capabilities, with all of these attributes being proven time and time again in a variety of accomplishments throughout his career.

Pfirsch was the Founder and Managing Director of a successful online showroom promoting Asian decor producers and artists. During his time as Director of Sales for AsiaJet he increased the number of b2b customers from 3 to 55 and generated a 215% sales growth, while as Managing Director for this company his enterprising sales development generated a 175% sales growth over 3 years, managed the successful opening of new branches in Cambodia and Vietnam, as well as the launch of a French travel agency based in Paris.

He has also found time to write columns for the Bangkok Post on search engine optimisation ground rules and tactics, as well as a 200 page book presenting the fundamentals of marketing adapted for the Laos market which was distributed to 4,000 students, government officials and company executives.

Pfirsch is fluent in his native French tongue as well as English, with proficiency in German, Thai and Laos.
