Amrita Bhalla joins Oberoi as Executive Vice President Human Resources

The Oberoi Group has appointed Ms. Amrita Bhalla as Executive Vice President, Human Resources.

Effective 19 July 2010, Ms. Bhalla will be responsible for the group's global human resources function including the Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development. Ms. Bhalla will be based at the group's Corporate Office in New Delhi.

Ms. Bhalla’s experience in global human resources spans North America, the Caribbean, Europe and Asia. Most recently, Ms. Bhalla was the Director, Recruitment and Development for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, based at their Corporate Office in Toronto, Canada. She was responsible for senior management recruitment and learning and development.

Prior to joining Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in 2005, Ms. Bhalla spent three years in the Global Human Resources consulting practice with PricewaterhouseCoopers Bermuda. From 2000 to 2002, Ms. Bhalla was a Partner in Lewis Companies Inc., a boutique executive search firm based in Toronto, Canada. Prior to that, Ms. Bhalla worked in HR consulting for PricewaterhouseCoopers Toronto. Her areas of expertise include HR strategy and technology, organizational development, performance management, recruitment, learning, compensation and employee relations.

Ms. Bhalla graduated from Queen’s University, Kingston, Canada with a Masters degree in Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management (MIR). Ms. Bhalla has also obtained the Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) certification.
