Tourism Vancouver Appoints New Board of Directors

Tourism Vancouver has confirmed its new 15-member Board of Directors for 2010/2011.

Tourism Vancouvers new board represents a broad cross-section of tourism sectors, but all members share a commitment to contributing their wealth of knowledge to strengthen and further improve Vancouvers tourism industry, said new chair, James E. Terry, executive vice president of Rocky Mountaineer.

Tourism Vancouvers board is responsible for ensuring that the organizations business and market development plans, along with corresponding financial plans, are developed, endorsed and monitored. The board also deals with policy issues.

Tourism Vancouvers Board of Directors consists of:

- James E. Terry, Executive Vice President, Rocky Mountaineer (Chair)
- Rick Baxter, President, CEO, West Coast Air (Past Chair)
- John Sandor, General Manager, Sutton Place Hotel (Chair Elect)
- Gary Collinge, General Manager, Hampton Inn & Suites Vancouver Downtown
- Ken Cretney, General Manager, Vancouver Convention Centre
- Larry Donen, Chief Brand Steward, jamjar
 - Nicholas Gandossi, General Manager, Opus Hotel Vancouver
- Howard Jang, Executive Director, Arts Club Theatre Company
- Bob Lindsay, Owner/Operator, Monk Mcqueens Fresh Seafood and Oyster Bars Inc. and Lift Bar Grill View
- Michael McDaniel, President, CEO, Pacific National Exhibition
- Steve McNally, General Manager, Hyatt Regency Vancouver
- Francis Parkinson, General Manager, Fairmont Waterfront Hotel
- Susan Roberts, Managing Director, CongressWorld Conferences Inc.
