The Phuket International Academy Sports and Leisure Club (PIASLC) is launching a series of interactive holiday camps for children that are available to all local and expatriate children in Phuket for the holidays, as well and international guests visiting the island during school breaks.

There will be four different camps to choose from including sports camps (concentrating on soccer, swimming, rugby, martial arts, triathlon and tennis) creative arts camps, adventure camps and multi-activity camps.

A Thai Summer Splash water sports adventure camp will be held from 19 - 23 April and a Brazilian Soccer School Camp from 5 - 11 July 2010. Later in the year, from 1 - 15 August, there will be a Sports, Arts and Adventure Camp.

The PIASLC's exclusive agreement with the world-renowned Brazilian Soccer Schools has a structured syllabus and training programme specific to each age group and each ability level of the different ages and revolves around the five-a-side version of the game on the PIA's own Futsal Limonta Soccer Pro Artificial turf pitch.

PIA Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Nick Seaver, said: "The camps provide a focussed and safe environment for children to remain active and learn new skills during their time away from the classroom in a fun-filled atmosphere, while promoting the values of a healthy lifestyle."

Programmes are designed with personal development in mind, leadership skills such as communication, problem solving, and community service work will help develop self confidence in the children giving practical skills too help them develop a stronger base to tackle the challenges of everyday life.

Prices for the camps are THB10,000 per child per seven days and include lunch and light refreshments during the day.
