Alpha Flight Services to Deploy Inflight Retail Platform

 Alpha Flight Services is to deploy the GuestLogix onboard retail platform and OnTouch products and services in Australia and New Zealand. One of Australia’s largest inflight catering firms, Alpha provides inflight catering at nine airports in Australia and serves 16 customer airlines.

Alpha customers will use the GuestLogix onboard retail platform that includes handheld point-of-sale (POS) devices to facilitate a more convenient purchase experience for both the flight attendants and passengers. The solution provides Alpha customers with promotions and sales management, cash control, payment processing and inventory management as well as the ability to accept credit card and cash payments. They can also take advantage of the GuestLogix platform to launch OnTouch in order to help its customers introduce destination-based, travel-relevant products and services inside the cabin to grow new ancillary revenues.

It provides a portfolio of offerings to help them get the most out of their trip: OnTouch Ground Connections for transportation to and from the airport; OnTouch Box Office for local entertainment and attractions; OnTouch Shopping & More catalogue sales with convenient product delivery to a desired destination; OnTouch Concierge Everywhere destination guide services via the mobile phone; OnTouch Minutes On The Go inexpensive communications to stay connected with business, friends and family; and OnTouch Ads for special offers at destination.
