Emirates Doubles Business Rewards Miles

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Videos Friday, 12 February 2010

Emirates Business Rewards, the airline’s loyalty programme tailor-made for small and medium enterprises (SME), is offering its customers double reward miles throughout February and March, highlighting the airlines commitment to supporting SMEs in the UAE.

For every US$1 spent on travel with Emirates and booked via Business Rewards in February and March, the company will be awarded four Business Reward miles, rather then the standard two. These miles can be redeemed for free flights on Emirates services worldwide. This promotion is available to all new and existing Business Rewards members globally.

SMEs remain one of the greatest contributors to the UAE’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), with the UAE Ministry of Economy recently announcing it will be investing in the development of SMEs across the emirates this coming year.

Khalid bel Jaflah, Emirates’ Vice President Commercial Operations UAE said, “With the first green shoots of economic recovery starting to shine through we expect to see an increase in demand from the corporate travel sector, particularly as the UAE Government pushes forward with plans to further support this segment. Over a third of all Emirates Business Rewards’ customers are based in the UAE and we remain committed to both engaging new customers and supporting our existing clients in the region with bonus incentives and ongoing initiatives.”

Since launching the Emirates Business Rewards programme in May 2008, Emirates has helped multiple SMEs across the world earn and book reward flights quickly and efficiently, utilizing a streamlined business travel system, which allows administrators within the company to manage employee travel on a dedicated Emirates airline portal.

Emirates Business Rewards now has nearly 8000 registered accounts across the globe and firms in 57 countries availing the broad range of benefits.

The double miles promotion is valid for travel made before 31 March 2010.
