American Airlines to launch Chicago - Beijing Flights on 25 May 2010

American Airlines is to launch nonstop services from Chicago O'Hare International Airport to Beijing Capital International Airport on 25 May 2010, with four flights per week, and will operate four nonstop flights per week from Beijing to Chicago starting 27 May 2010. Beginning 3 July 2010, American will offer daily departures from both cities.

"Beijing Capital International Airport is a slot constrained airport and we recognize the challenges the Chinese aviation authorities face in determining slot assignments. We will continue to work with them to secure more appropriate arrival and departure times in the future," said Craig Kreeger, American's Senior Vice President International. "Meanwhile, we look forward to launching our new flights and are contacting our customers to assist and reaccommodate them based on the new schedule."

The Beijing flight will be operated using a Boeing 777 with 14 First Class, 37 Business Class and 194 Economy seats.
