Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Videos Monday, 11 January 2010

The RATP (Paris transport system) has been added to the entertainment programmes offered by Air France on board its Airbus A380 aircraft. The maps of each transport network are available for download via the USB socket in each seat of the aircraft.

The information can be downloaded helping passengers prepare for their trip into Paris and its suburbs by public transport on all bus, metro, train and tram networks. There is a homepage on which the RATP provides maps of all its networks: metro, train, bus, Noctilien (night bus), Roissybus and other airport transport services.

Each seat on board Air France’s Airbus A380, which can carry up to 538 passengers, is equipped with a video screen with access to all the various programmes on demand. In addition to the usual sections with movies, news, TV series, documentaries and video games, the Air France A380 has a “download” section. This innovative service enables passengers to find useful information on their destination.
