LAN Ecuador launches Domestic Operations

LAN Ecuador has commenced domestic operations uniting Guayaquil and Quito, the country’s largest cities. LAN Ecuador now offers 7 daily flights between the cities and will subsequently add the city of Cuenca and the Galapagos Islands to its schedule.

LAN Ecuador operates a modern Airbus A318 fleet with seating capacity for 126 passengers on domestic routes.

“Our new domestic operations are contributing to the development of our tourism industry, to the connectivity within the country and to the social and economic development of Ecuador. Our objective is to offer a new and efficient air transport alternative to the Ecuadorian passengers and cargo clients,” announced Maximiliano Naranjo, LAN Ecuador’s General Manager.

LAN Ecuador celebrates 6 years in the country connecting Ecuador internationally with the United States, Europe, Chile and Argentina.

LAN Ecuador is an affiliate member of the oneworld alliance which means that oneworld members can accumulate frequent flyer miles and earn rewards while gaining access to over 550 VIP lounges at airports around the world.

“We have strengthened our commitment to Ecuador by contributing to the development of air transport and generating employment and investment in the country. We will continue bringing tourists to the exciting destinations the country offers, while contributing to the growth of the country through the shipment of exports, and providing an excellent product with the highest standards of safety and environmental preservation,” added Maximiliano Naranjo.

LAN offers daily flights from Australia and New Zealand to Santiago, Chile, with onward services throughout South America.
