Banyan Tree Lijiang launches RMB 1,100 Promotion

To celebrate its new makeover and the completion of its expanded inventory, Banyan Tree Lijiang has launched a special promotion to encourage travellers to experience this culturally authentic city for themselves.

Valid for online bookings made before 11 April on banyantree.com, this limited time offer entitles customers to 50% discount off published rates, with promotional rates starting from RMB 1100++ per night. Bookings made during this period are valid for stays till 31 Dec 2009.

In conjunction with the launch of its new deluxe and spa suites, Banyan Tree Lijiang has also launched a different promotion for direct bookings which starts from 12 April 2009, with introductory rates for its deluxe suites from RMB1200 ++ per night, inclusive of daily breakfast for two. Bookings for this promotion are also valid for stays till 31 December 2009.

To cater to the growing demand for upmarket travel experiences in the Yunnan region, Banyan Tree Lijiang has introduced an additional 34 new suites and villas to its extensive Naxi-styled resort grounds. This includes 22 Deluxe Suites, eight Two-Bedroom Spa Suites and four Two-Bedroom Jet Pool Villas, bringing its total inventory to 122. This additional inventory is complemented by the resorts extensive 700 square metres of meeting facilities, which includes a Grand Ballroom accommodating up to 260 persons.

As the Banyan Tree Groups flagship resort in China, Banyan Tree Lijiang pioneered the luxury pool villa experience in the Yunnan region, connecting guests to the culture as well as environment of this historic locale. With the imposing peaks of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain as its backdrop, and the picturesque UNESCO World Heritage Site of Dayan Old Town adding to its aura of mystic, Lijiang charms with its quaint winding cobble-stoned streets and water canals, as well as the elegant Naxi architecture for which it is renowned.

Deluxe Suites: Ranging from 99 sqm to 145 sqm, the spacious Deluxe Suites come with stunning mountain views, and are equipped with a large ensuite bathroom with Banyan Tree Spa amenities, a separate living area with a TV, DVD player and stereo system, internet connection, and a private garden or balcony.

Spa Suites: With room for up to four persons, the spacious two-bedroom Spa Suite comes with a private garden, a courtyard and balconies from which to experience the awe-inspiring views of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The second bedroom is uniquely configured to make way for two spa massage treatment beds on request, ideal for enjoying pampering Banyan Tree Spa experience in the privacy of the guests own accommodation.

Banyan Tree Lijiangs Destination Dining experiences offer a taste of Yunnan. A modern six-course degustation menu is served by a personal butler in the Imperial Feast, which takes place in the Presidential Villa, followed by an overnight sourjourn. Located in an iconic Naxi-style pagoda, the Moonlight Pagoda experience features Naxi-inspired creations such as flat rice noodle with yak meat and barbecued local matsutake mushrooms.

Encircled by dramatic mountain terrain, Banyan Tree Lijiang presents many architectural wonders to complement its lush landscape. Each of the 122 Naxi-inspired suites and villas come with inspirational views of the towering snow-capped peaks of the 5,600 metre Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.
