Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur enhances Breakfast Experience

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Monday, 9 March 2009

Breakfast is often neglected despite the healthy benefits to jump start the morning with nutrition. Understanding the importance of the first meal of the day, Le Méridien has unveiled a new Signature Breakfast experience, designed in partnership with three-star Michelin Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten.

Latest Recipe, Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur’s all-day dining restaurant, has embraced the brand’s new breakfast initiative by showcasing innovative cuisine, created to stimulate the senses.

Upon entering the restaurant, guests will be greeted with colourful eye-opening elixirs displayed in test tubes. Explore the unconventional combinations of fruits such as oranges, carrots and raspberries, and herbs and spices such as chilies, cloves and pepper. The pleasant surprise of flavours will help perk guests up in the morning.

Breakfast entrees are new interpretations of classic breakfast items such as Croque Madame, Smoked Salmon and Silken Tofu, and Espresso Steamed Eggs with Toasted Brioche, among others. Expand the discovery to an extensive spread of buffet breakfast featuring Indian, Malay, Chinese, Japanese and Western cuisines.

“My goal for Le Méridien was to create a breakfast experience that not only delivers the basics at a high quality level, but also provides a level of “discovery” for guests by blending exotic flavors with everyday ingredients. The dishes deliver a unique blend of flavors that invigorate and awaken the palate,” said Jean-Georges Vongerichten.

European-rooted Le Méridien and Jean-Georges have many things in common as both are French-born and internationally renown.

In addition to the breakfast experience, Le Méridien is also now offering guests illycaffé, one of Europe’s innovative, premium coffee brands.

Breakfast is served at Latest Recipe on level 5 of Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur from 6.00 am to 10.30 am. The Jean-Georges Breakfast is available on a la carte while buffet breakfast is available at RM 69++ per person. Price is subject to 10% service charge and 5% government tax.
