The U Chiang Mai hotel has launched a “Chiang Mai Yi Peng / Loy Krathong Festival” promotion available 1 - 3 November 2009.

The prices are subject to 10% service charge and applicable government taxes.

Yi Peng Lantern Festival is an unique traditional practice of Chiang Mai locals. It is northern Thailand's version of 'Loy Kratong' celebration. 'Yi Peng' literally means the full moon night of the twelfth lunar month and the Chiang Mai 'Yi Peng' and 'Loy Krathong', the Festival of Lights is organised annually by the Chiang Mai Municipality in Thailand.

The U Chiang Mai, just 20 minutes from Chiang Mai International Airport, is located in the heart of Chiang Mai’s city on Ratchadamnoen Road.

All 41 rooms of the boutique hotel feature private balcony with a day bed, rain shower, IDD telephone, tea & coffee making facilities, satellite TV, electronic safe, hair dryer, iPod with iPod docking station and speakers.
