China Airlines and China Eastern launch Cabin Crew Interchange Program

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Videos Tuesday, 8 December 2009

China Airlines and China Eastern Airlines have launched a flight attendant interchange program through which both carriers expect to provide a higher standard of inflight services to their passengers.

As a part of the program, China Airlines and China Eastern Airlines each select one flight attendant to join the opposite end of the flight on the Taipei - Shanghai - Taipei route. The flight attendants can then observe the service procedures of the other airline to gain a better understanding of passenger profiles and alternative practices.

While both airlines have selected their most experienced and elite flight attendants to participate in this program, they join the flights as passengers and act only as observers.
