For the third consecutive year, Kuoni Destination Management Zurich is the official partner of the Ironman Switzerland. The event will take place in Zurich on 12 July 2009.

Kuoni's Destination Management office in Zurich arranges accommodation for approximately 350 athletes, supporters and officials of the Ironman Switzerland. This generates approximately 1,000 room nights in 20 hotels ranging from 2 to 5-stars. All hotels are situated within a close range of the Ironman's starting area, provide storage room for the expensive race bikes and an early breakfast at 4.00 a.m. on race day.

Additionally, Kuoni Destination Management arranges transfer packages for the event. These include transfers to and from the airport, hotel and race location and allow for transport of the heavy luggage and bikes. A local shuttle service along the race route for the spectators will also be made available.

The Ironman Switzerland is an official qualifier for the Ironman Hawaii. Athletes from some 50 nations will be at the starting line, including elite national and international contestants.

A large fairground situated right beside the lake of Zurich will offer various attractions such as a children's paradise and marquee. Visitors will also be able to try their talents at a diverse range of sports activities and entertainment games.

Hotels and transfers for Ironman Switzerland 2010 will be bookable one day after the 2009 race.
