In December 2009, Silversea Cruises is offering an exotic 16 day voyage from Dubai to Mahé via some of the world’s most colourful ports in Oman, India, Sri Lanka, the Maldives and the Seychelles. A shorter 12 day option is also available from Mumbai to Mahé.

Departing Dubai on 4 December 2009, the 16 day sailing aboard the all-suite Silver Wind calls at the Omani capital of Muscat; vibrant Mumbai in the Indian state of Maharashtra; Cochin in the scenic south-west Indian state of Kerala; Sri Lanka’s capital Colombo; the Maldivian capital Male, and the picturesque Seychelles ports of Curieuse, La Dique, Praslin and the final destination of Mahé.

Those looking for a shorter voyage can join the vessel in Mumbai, where they will enjoy the final 12 days of the cruise to the Seychelles.

On 8 December 2009, passengers can enjoy a fascinating optional day excursion to two of India’s most magnificent sites: Agra and the famed Taj Mahal UNESCO World Heritage site. A private air charter will take the group firstly to Agra Fort, built by Emperor Akbar between 1565 and 1573. Passengers will then travel by road to the Taj Mahal to marvel at the astonishing beauty of the white marble mausoleum, commissioned in the 17th century by Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan as an enduring symbol of love for his wife and created by twenty thousand labourers and craftsmen from Persia, Turkey, France and Italy.

All-inclusive, cruise-only fares for the 16 day voyage start from just US$6,022 per person, double occupancy, or US$4,522 for the 12 day sailing. Fares include luxury cruising to ports; all-suite accommodation; gourmet meals; complimentary wines, Champagne and spirits, and all gratuities.

Limited space is available on the excursion to Agra and the Taj Mahal, which is priced at US$499 per person including a delicious lunch at one of Agra’s finest hotels, transportation, expert guides and entrance fees.
