Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Wednesday, 6 May 2009

Oakwood has opened the five-star deluxe 202-unit  serviced apartments Oakwood Premier Pune. The property is Oakwood’s second property to open in Pune, following the debut of the 84-unit Oakwood Residence Naylor Road Pune in July 2007.

“India along with China and Japan remain the key focuses of Oakwood’s expansion plans in Asia,” said P. G. Mathew, Managing Director of Oakwood Asia Pacific. “Oakwood Premier Pune complements our existing properties in Pune, Bangalore and Mumbai and strengthens our growing presence in India which includes plans for a portfolio of ten properties in India by 2012 including new footprints in Chennai, Hyderabad, New Delhi and Trivandrum.”

Located in the central business district of Pune at Koregaon Park, the serviced apartments are aimed at business or individual travelers looking for luxury combined with more space and comfort than available with hotel rooms.

The 202 units are made-up of studios, one, two and three bedroom apartments.

Each apartment comes complete with fully-equipped modern kitchens, separate living areas and wide-screen LCD televisions with home theatre DVD.

Oakwood Premier Pune contains eight wings, with the central wing designed to draw guests from their apartments with a number of social offerings including a Resident’s Lounge, fitness center, tennis and squash court, swimming pool, and a beautifully landscaped outdoor seating area.

Additionally, an onsite restaurant is set to open. The “Genesis Business Services”, the property’s business centre, is specially equipped for speedy presentation design, color printing and checking e-mail.
