Travelport GDS recently signed agreements with two leading hotel content providers that will be available on the Galileo and Worldspan GDS platforms. China’s DerbySoft and India’s Etours CRS will offer Travelport connected travel agents access to thousands of hotel properties in both China and India.

“We are delighted to offer our travel agency customers access to an expanded range of hotel content in two key travel markets in Asia – India and China. These content agreements will further reinforce Travelport as a leading source of GDS hotel bookings in the Asia Pacific region,” said Brad Holman, Managing Director of Travelport GDS – Asia Pacific.

Travelport GDS currently provides travel agents with real-time access to more than 400 hotel brands and over 80,000 properties worldwide. The agreement with DerbySoft and Etours will significantly enhance the choice and mix of hotel properties in both China and India. Shanghai-based DerbySoft has direct connections to more than 1,000 independent hotels in China while Mumbai-based Etours’ inventory includes 1,800 hotels in more than 300 cities across India.

“We’re pleased that Travelport has selected DerbySoft as one of its first direct connect partners. This is an important step in broadening our distribution reach for the unique hotel content available in our system. Travelport’s subscribers can benefit from a broader mix of hotels in China in addition to better rates and availability,” said Dave Revelle, DerbySoft’s Director of Business Development.

Yogesh Rathi, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Etours CRS, added, “This strategic partnership with Travelport GDS will not only enhance Etours’ global reach but will present Travelport connected agents with a new range of hotel properties in India, varying from deluxe five star establishments to smaller independent hotels.”
