Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Thursday, 5 March 2009

SALA Resorts & Spas is celebrating Thailand's traditional New Year 'Songkran Water Festival' and the Easter holidays with a pay two nights and get one free promotion at either of their two retreats, SALA Phuket and SALA Samui.

The promotion runs from April 3-19 and in Thai tradition from April 13 for three days, water is joyfully splashed to wash away bad luck during Songkran.

To join in the water festival fun at both resorts, guests are 'armed' with their own water-guns and a host of complimentary extras. These include return airport transfers, daily breakfast, traditional New Year dinner with Thai dancing on April 13, choice of a half-a-day island tour or 60-minute massage for couples and a complimentary evening shuttle bus to the respective nightlife centres of Patong in Phuket and Chaweng in Koh Samui.

Orchid garlands and exotic fruit are presented on arrival, along with Thai perfumes and powders, traditional for the festive period. Ten per cent discounts are also offered for all spa treatments and food & beverage, and guests can enjoy late check-out to 4pm.

SALA Samui has nightly rates starting from THB 8,600. Pool villas start at THB 12,900 with the luxurious two-bedroom Villa Suite priced at THB 24,950 during this promotional period.

SALA Phuket Resort & Spa, on the unspoiled Mai Khao Beach in northern Phuket, is offering nightly rates for the package start from THB 11,550 for a Deluxe Balcony Room to THB 20,850 for a 1 bedroom luxurious Pool Villa Suite from April 3-15. Rates from 16-19 April are reduced to THB 6,300 for the Deluxe Balcony Room and THB 12,600 for a Pool Villa Suite.
