Jetstar Asia to Close Reservations for System Upgrade

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Thursday, 5 February 2009

On 6 February 2009 (Friday), Jetstar Asia will undergo its biggest reservation system replacement in the airline’s four year history.

The system replacement, which took more than 12 months of planning, is a step-change in system functionality designed to accommodate Jetstar, Jetstar Asia/Valuair and Jetstar Pacific’s expanding network in Australia and Asia.

Replacing the system will require Jetstar Asia’s entire reservation systems to close from 2.00pm (Singapore time) on 6 February 2009 (Friday). The full transition is expected to be completed by the morning of 9 February 2009 (Monday).

During the reservation system replacement, Jetstar Asia’s customers will not be able to make any reservation bookings or amendments with the Jetstar Asia’s telephone reservation centre and at Jetstar.com.

Passengers travelling on Jetstar Asia during the transition should not be affected unless they require changes to be made to their flight bookings during this time.

Jetstar Asia’s check-in counters will continue to open as usual 2 hours before flight departure. Passengers are strongly advised to check-in 2 hours before their flight.

Passengers making new bookings or changes to their flights during the transition period should call their local call centers for further assistance.
