Singapore Expo wins Safety and Security Award

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Tuesday, 4 August 2009

Singapore Expo, which hosts over 6,000,000 people annually, has appointed a security management company to run its overall security operations.

AETOS Security Agency will manage the day to day security operations of the centre, fresh from its successful operations at the Youth Olympics Games (YOG).

Working in collaboration with the Singapore Police Force and the Singapore Civil Defence Force, Singapore Expo consistently upgrades its security protocols to ensure readiness to cope with the dynamic and challenging security landscape.

For its efforts, Singapore Expo will be accepting the National Safety and Security Watch Group Award in August 2009. This annual award is given to commercial building owners and managers who contribute to building robust security protocols to cope with the rapidly changing security climate in the region.

“Receiving an award was not one of our objectives. But providing assurance to our clients, organisers and visitors is and will continue to be our main focus. We are glad to be recognised for our efforts and surely we will continue to collaborate with the local government and security agencies towards a safer environment at Singapore Expo,” sauid Ian Goh, Director of Operations, Singex Venues.
