China Airlines launches Chengdu Charter Flights

China Airlines has launched direct charter flights between Taoyuan and Chengdu.

China Airlines will serve one return flight every Sunday between the two cities in May, with a total of four round-trip charter flights.

Flights to Chengdu, CI-7963, depart from Taoyuan Airport at 4:50am and arrive in Chengdu at 8:15am. The return trip, flight CI-7964, departs from Chengdu at 9:30am and arrives in Taoyuan at 1:00pm.

Airbus 330-300 aircraft will be used for the charter flights, offering single-class cabin service with 313 economy-class seats.

Chengdu is well known for its beautiful scenery and local culture. Famous tourist spots include Dujiangyan, Mount Qingcheng, Wuhou Memorial Temple, Thatched Cottage of Du Fu, Jinsha site, and the Chengdu Panda Breeding and Research Center. As well as the natural beauty in surrounding areas such as the Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area, Mount E'mei and Sanxingdui site.
