Best Western Partners World Vision

Best Western has entered into an agreement with World Vision, a leading global relief organization, to use its extensive hotel network throughout Asia to raise funds to improve the lives of underprivileged children.

Entitled “Best Western Bringing Smiles to our Children”, the campaign is the latest manifestation of Best Western International’s annual “Best Western for a Better World” community support campaign whereby the company’s staff and hotel owners find different ways to demonstrate their commitment to serving the communities in which they operate.

Under the agreement, signed on July 28, 2009, guests at Best Western hotels at 43 locations throughout Asia will be donating US$1 of their bill upon check out voluntarily to programs arranged by World Vision aimed at raising the standard of living of underprivileged children, priority in underprivileged area in Thailand for the first year and following years to other Asian countries. The first phase of this program will run from August 1, 2009 to January 31, 2010.

Best Western in the U.S.A. as well as Best Western Australia & New Zealand and World Vision have partnered to encourage all Best Western members, guests, employees, family and friends to sponsor a child through World Vision’s websites in their designated countries.

“We are pleased with our upcoming partnership with Best Western Asia Network because we believe that cooperation from the business sectors like them is very significant and can change lives of underprivileged children and communities. Today, as Best Western Asia Network joins hands with World Vision Foundation of Thailand, we believe that this will bring tremendous difference to our target communities,” said Mr. Chusak Wuthiraporas, World Vision Foundation of Thailand’s Executive National Director.
