Aston to Open Resort on Natsepa Beach, Ambon

The Aston Natsepa Ambon Resort & Spa will open its doors this month. Located on the pristine and popular Natsepa beach, the Aston Natsepa Ambon Resort & Spa will be the first internationally managed 4 star resort in Ambon when it opens on 10 August 2009.

The hotel offers 96 deluxe rooms and suites all with large private balconies and ocean views.

Helmi Junaidi, General Manager of Aston Natsepa Ambon said, “Natsepa beach is one of the most idyllic locations in Indonesia and the architects have come up with a contemporary design that blends in with the local surrounds while maximizing the wonderful views that all guest will experience from their rooms.”

Guests will be able to participate in a wide range of water sports and water based activities including; sailing, jet skiing, fishing, snorkeling, diving, and canoeing.

The hotel will also offer meeting and function facilities with a variety of meeting room options and a 650 seat ballroom.

Norbert Vas, Aston International VP Sales Marketing said, “We are very pleased to be part of the tourism development in this region and I have no doubts that Ambon is going to develop very quickly as a preferred destination for discerning domestic and international tourists. We are now focusing on hosting the first Ambon International Jazz Festival this September followed by the recently reinstated and world famous Darwin –Ambon Yacht race. By supporting and organising such high profile events we hope to change Ambon’s image and give it the credit it deserves.”

Originally from Hawaii, Aston entered the Indonesian market in the late nineties and has an underlying portfolio consisting of 40 properties including hotels, resorts, serviced apartments and boutique villa resorts, of which 15 are operational and 25 under development due to open between now and 2010.
