Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Tuesday, 31 March 2009

The Singapore-based Park Hotel Group, is to rebrand the Park Hotel Orchard as the Grand Park Orchard after a major renovation which is due to begin in April 2009.

Park Hotel Orchard will close from 1 April onwards to facilitate the renovations. When it reopens as Grand Park Orchard in the second quarter of 2010, the five-star property will become the flagship hotel of the fast growing hospitality chain.

Grand Park Orchard will feature 309 luxurious rooms and suites, including our Designer Suite series, as well as a stunning new addition – a four-storey retail podium.

The 83,000 sq ft retail podium will house flagship stores of international brands, with unique street- front entrances, bringing a new level of sophistication not seen on Orchard Road. The double-volume façade frontages will allow international retailers to showcase their full brand labels at a strategic location in the heart of Orchard Road.

“The new Grand Park Orchard will be an iconic landmark on Orchard Road,” said Mr Allen Law, Director of Park Hotel Group. “We will transform the existing hotel into a fashionable icon by dressing it up with a dramatic new façade and at the same time featuring a media wall of unparalleled scale in the region.”
