Fairmont to Open First Hotel in China this Summer

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is preparing to open its first hotel in China. The Fairmont Beijing, scheduled to officially open in the summer of 2009, is located in Yong An Li in the heart of Beijing’s downtown district.

For over a century, Fairmont Hotels and Resorts has primarily been operating within the North American marketplace but is fast becoming a global contender with 56 distinctive hotels in 15 countries and growing (over 20 properties currently in development).

Offering 222 guest rooms and suites, including Fairmont Gold, the brand’s exclusive lifestyle offering featuring more personalized service with amenities such as private reception and a comfortable guest lounge, the Fairmont Beijing provides the finest in amenities and comforts.

 Inlaid Mother of Pearl headboards, symbolic of good fortune, are located at the head of the luxurious designer beds with their 400 thread-count bed linen providing the ultimate in style and comfort.

The floor-to-ceiling windows provide panoramic views of downtown Beijing creating an airy and spacious feel while the spa-like bathroom, scented with the incomparable fragrance of London Perfumer, Miller Harris, bath products, heated floors and rainfall shower are pampering personified.
