Need for Speed at Conrad Bangkok

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Tuesday, 27 January 2009

The Conrad Bangkok has upgraded its Internet Bandwidth to an impressive 30 megabits per second and now offers a wireless connection in every room, offering one of the fastest, hassle-free internet connections in the city.

The Conrad Bangkok’s General Manager Manfred Pieper said the hotel is dedicated to offering the best in tech-savvy amenities.

“The Conrad Bangkok is a first choice among business travelers and their needs, as with the needs of all of our guests, are very important to us. The internet has become an integral part of life and figures show that over 80% of our guests are using it during their stay, 95% of which are using it for a 24 hour period. Providing a fast and convenient connection is therefore essential in staying ahead of the curve. We’re very pleased with the upgrade and the resulting convenience which it offers our guests”

The upgrade compliments the meeting facilities at the hotel, which includes 22 meeting rooms over 20,000 square feet. In addition to the latest video and audio conference facilities, the Conrad Bangkok also offers some less conventional guest services. Given that presenting business cards in Asia is an art form, cards crafted from white, milk and dark chocolate provide a unique, if not potentially messy, way for guests to introduce themselves.

The 391-room Conrad Bangkok is a contemporary, luxury hotel nestled in the vibrant heart of Wireless Road, a mere stone’s throw from the city’s most vibrant shopping and dining venues, and the convenient BTS Skytrain and subway.
