As part of Shangri-La’s Villingili Resort and Spa,
Maldives’ bespoke Dine By Design service, guests will be able to enjoy
meals served at a variety of special locations around the resort
prepared by the resort’s culinary team.
From a jungle themed dinner amid the
resort’s lush vegetation, to lunch on the equator aboard a luxury
yacht, a selection of special dining options awaits guests at
Shangri-La’s Villingili Resort and Spa, Maldives when it opens
this summer.
Guests looking for the resort’s most
unusual dining location can choose to experience a torchlit dinner
under the banyan trees of the resort’s jungle. Surrounded by lush
vegetation and just a few steps away from the beach, this is a
perfect way for guests to celebrate an anniversary, a honeymoon or
simply enjoy each other’s company.
For guests wishing to
venture out of Villingili, dining in style will also be possible.
Be it for a picnic basket to be savoured on a neighbouring beach
or for a barbecue lunch on an uninhabited island, the resort’s
chef will prepare meals to match every location.
As the
magical hour of a tropical sunset arises, guests can enjoy a drink
at one of the resort’s secluded beaches or take in the full view
of the ocean while sailing an authentic Maldivian boat called a
dhoni. Alternatively, guests can participate in a wine tasting on
the seashore followed by a gourmet dinner paired with the finest
wines.
Shangri-La’s Villingili Resort and Spa,
located on Addu
Atoll, will feature 142 villas with views of the ocean
or the island’s natural lush vegetation. The Maldives’ second
international airport, Gan International Airport, is an
eight-minute boat ride away from the resort and Malé International
Airport is 70 minutes by domestic flights operating around the
clock.
