Travel industry veteran, Rob Flint, has been appointed
as the new global brand leader for FCm Travel Solutions.
With more than 25 years’ experience in the travel industry, Rob will
focus on consolidating the growth FCm has achieved over recent years and
will oversee the company’s global operations, sales and account
management.
His role includes the ongoing management of
FCm’s worldwide partner network and will specifically include the
development of global and regional sales.
He will also be responsible
for developing strategic industry alliances across the globe, and
continuously building on FCm’s service capabilities to meet the growing
needs of the corporate market.
Rob has been employed with
FCm’s parent company, Flight Centre Limited (FCL), for 18 years. Most
recently he was executive general manager for FCL Australia’s operations
in Victoria and Tasmania for three years, and from 2003 to 2005 he was
Australian leader for the specialist brands, Escape Travel and Travel
Associates.
Rob offers an extensive working knowledge of
the travel sector, particularly in Asia Pacific and Europe. He gained
seven years’ hands-on experience as a travel consultant and team leader
after joining FCL Australia in 1991. For eight years prior to this, he
worked in various operational management roles within the industry,
during which he was based in France and travelled extensively to most
European countries.
Rob will take up the new role on 6 April and be
based in FCm’s global headquarters in Brisbane, Australia.
