Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Tuesday, 24 February 2009

Hong Kong Disneyland is to launch a Star Guest Program. The appreciation campaign will run from March 6 to May 31, 2009, and will provide park visitors with an easy way to create unforgettable experiences for their VIP(s).

The program also includes additional special experiences such as the Star Pass, Star Finale and Star Tour.

“We are thrilled to be launching the first-ever Star Guest Program at Hong Kong Disneyland and guests will soon have a unique and exciting way to show their VIP(s) how much they are appreciated,” said Maple Lee, Vice President, Marketing of Hong Kong Disneyland.

“The entire Park and all our 5,000 Cast Members will seize every opportunity to create surprises and memorable moments for you and your VIP(s), whether it’s your mother, brother, colleague, best friend, husband, wife or child.”

The moment guests enter the park, they should pick up a Star Guest Badge from City Hall, Main Street U.S.A. to transform their VIP(s) into a Star Guest for the day. With a limited number available each day, the Star Guest Badge lets Cast Members know that this guest is a special VIP and throughout the day, numerous surprises, filled with star treatment, await them.

Journeying through the park, they may be chosen as the day’s Grand Marshall, to lead Disney On Parade, while waving to cheering fans and grooving to the upbeat music; in Tomorrowland they may be named an Honorary Space Ranger; or for the adventure inclined, they may become the skipper of their launch during their Jungle River Cruise adventure; to top it off, these badge bearing VIP(s) may receive a Star Guest Certificate or collectable stickers as a souvenir of their magical experiences.

To help guests make their VIP(s) feel ultra special during the Star Guest Program, the resort will be launching several additional experiences to let VIP(s) play at the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort in all-new ways.

Star Pass: Guests can give their VIP(s) celebrity status, by adding the Star Pass to their VIP(s)’ Park admission.

The “Star Pass” booklet (HK$80 or HK$120 depending on the date) will give VIP(s) priority entrance and/or seating privileges to select Park shows and attractions.

Star Finale: Enjoy a sensational view of the Disney in the Stars fireworks spectacular at the Main Street Station, Hong Kong Disneyland Railroad – as it bursts into glory above Sleeping Beauty Castle, in the Star Finale.

Available only on Fridays and Saturdays and with Disney musical entertainment, this will be a great way for guests and their VIP(s) to spend some quality time together, while sampling delectable hors d’oeuvres, sumptuous desserts and a signature magical star drink. Each Star Finale ticket is priced at HK$198.

Star Tour: For a unique park experience, guests can treat their VIP(s) to a Star Tour, a two-hour personalized and exclusive tour (priced at HK$1,200) of the Hong Kong Disneyland park that includes an exclusive meet-and-greet session with two Disney Characters. With only a limited number of tours per day and four guests per tour, this promises to be an unforgettable experience.

The additional experiences available during the Star Guest Program can be pre-booked by simply calling the Hong Kong Disneyland Reservation Center at (852) 1-830-830.

Complementing the Star Guest Program will be a variety of incredible Disney Vacation Packages. Available until April 30, 2009, these hotel and shopping, dining, spa or park tickets packages, will be the perfect way for Guests to show their VIP(s) how special they really are.

As a special thank you to new Annual Passholders, the resort will launch two exclusive offers from March 6 to June 2, 2009:

• Guests who purchase a Value Annual Pass will receive one complimentary ticket for the passholder to visit the Park on any day, including weekends or holidays.

• Guests who purchase a Deluxe or Premium Annual Pass can bring a ‘Star’ (friend) to the Park, for a one-time complimentary visit.
