Kids Rock at Courtyard by Marriott Hotels in Thailand

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Thursday, 23 July 2009

Marriott has launched a promotion that offers children aged 12 or under free accommodation and other benefits when staying with parents at all Courtyard by Marriott hotels in Thailand.

Launching on 1 August 2009, the Kids Rock programme is only available to 12 year’s old and under when staying with their parents or guardians.

All bookings for the scheme must be made through Courtyard by Marriott's online booking engines or directly through other Marriott booking centres.

When kids arrive at the participating hotels – Courtyard By Marriott at Kamala Beach, Surin Beach and Patong Beach on Phuket and the group’s property at Cha Am Beach Hua Hin – they will be guided to their own check-in area where they will also be presented with a welcome gift.

All hotels boast an exclusive Kids World zone with the latest in playground equipment and computer games for children during their stay. All Kids World facilities are managed and staffed by qualified personnel under strict security conditions so parents can feel at ease.

Kids also use the dedicated check-out zone when they depart and will be asked to rate their experience by hotel staff. There will be no account to settle of course when they leave, as all kids’ accommodation is free as are meals consumed with parents at any time of the day at Courtyard’s signature MoMo Cafés.

In addition, kids will become members of the Kids World VIP Club, offering additional benefits to parents and kids during their stay.

Courtyard by Marriott Director of Marketing, Andreas Kohn, said the Kids Rock campaign was designed to cater to kids’ needs while allowing parents their own time to relax while on holiday through the Kids World "playground concept".

"We have launched a full range of new products and services for kids, which we are sure will be well received. However, it is also important to remember that the Kids Rock campaign is designed to make the stay for parents enjoyable too by catering to the entire family’s needs," Mr Kohn said.

"This is not a step we have taken lightly but it is one we are sure will fill a niche in a competitive hotel market in the current global climate."

Another bonus under the Kids Rock concept is that they can also use all Kids World and pool facilities at any of the three Phuket hotels. Courtyard is providing free shuttle busses for families to move between the hotels and experience them all.
