Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Wednesday, 22 April 2009

In order to provide passengers with a fresh new travel experience, and to promote a healthy and energy-saving mode of transport, China Airlines and its subsidiary Mandarin Airlines have signed a memorandum of cooperation with Giant Manufacturing Company, the famous Taiwan bicycle maker.

The theme of the cooperation is 'Cycling Paradise Taiwan', under which the two enterprises will work together to promote cycling tourism.

The two enterprises will join together to promote the beautiful scenery of Taiwan, and to attract more overseas travelers to the island. In particular, the companies will highlight the joys of leisure cycling around the island, a pastime that allows visitors to experience the warmth of Taiwan residents and the natural beauty of the island.

To satisfy the increasing demand for cycling abroad, China Airlines has been offering a series of Okinawa Four-day Cycling Tours from February to May. China Airlines and Giant will also join together to launch cycling tours to Mainland China, Japan, Europe and Australia.
