Two Casino Hotels in Australia join WORLDHOTELS

Two of Australias most famous casino hotels, Star City Hotel & Apartments in Sydney and Jupiters Townsville in northern Queensland, have joined WORLDHOTELS.

New Deluxe Collection affiliate, Star City, on Sydney Harbour, is the only casino in New South Wales, incorporating a 480-room hotel, 2,000-seat theatre, eleven restaurants and bars ranging from authentic Australian cuisine to Cantonese delicacies and the hotels famous buffet.

The giant complex, about the size of seven football fields, is a key part of the citys vibrant Darling Harbour precinct. It incorporates luxury 5-star serviced apartments of varying sizes, ideal for business or leisure, short or long stays. The apartments feature balconies with harbour views, separate dining and living areas, kitchen and full laundry facilities - plus in room media centres with broadband internet links.

At the same time, Jupiters Townsville Hotel & Casino on the Townsville Waterfront, which has joined WORLDHOTELS in the First Class Collection, is situated between Cairns and Brisbane. It features 194 luxury rooms overlooking the Coral Sea to Magnetic Island, the marina, Central Business District and Strand Beach.

Facilities and amenities include a business centre, spa, sauna, pool, gym and massage, beauty centre and a 24 hour reception with concierge and valet parking services.

Jupiters Townsvilles award-winning meeting and convention team are well equipped to arrange creative corporate and leisure events, and the hotels MICE facilities include a theatre seating up to 700 and banqueting for up to 800.

With seven food and beverage outlets including buffet at Aqua, contemporary cuisine at Essence and casual dining at Spin, it is a "prime lifestyle choice in tropical northern Queensland", said Mr. Roland Jegge, Vice President for WORLDHOTELS Asia Pacific.
