Korean Air to launch Next Generation Premium Seat in May

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Thursday, 22 January 2009

When Korean Air takes delivery of its new Boeing 777- 300ER in May it will be able to offer passengers what it is describing as next generation premium seats. The airline claims the new seats offer more comfort and coziness than both Kosmo Sleeper seats and Prestige Plus seats served in current First and Prestige Class.

The new first class seats enable customers to travel with more comfort thanks to 12cm extra seat width, and 900cm extended table. Also, the new individual monitors have been enlarged by 15cm to 58cm to deliver better images through the AVOD (Audio Video On Demand) system on board.

The new prestige class seats recline 180 degrees to allow passengers to really kick-back, relax and get a good night's sleep.

The next generation premium seats will be available in three Boeing 777-300 ER aircrafts scheduled to be delivered this year. Korean Air will also install the new seats into three existing aircraft.

As part of constant efforts to advance its service quality, Korean Air will also install the new seats into its Airbus A380 and Boeing 787 aircraft.
