Mark Hehir has been appointed General Manager of
the Anantara Phuket. The appointment is in addition to his current
position overseeing the Anantara Si Kao Resort & Spa.
Mark Hehir joined Anantara
in June 2007 overseeing the successful launch of Anantara Seminyak
Resort & Spa in Bali prior to supervising the re-branding and
launch of Anantara Si Kao, South of Krabi, in late 2008.
Having started his career as an apprentice chef in his hometown
Melbourne, Australia, Mark’s career has spanned from the kitchen
to hotel operations.
By the youthful age of 22 he had been
recruited as Senior Chef at one of Melbourne’s most prestigious
hotels and only a decade after revealed his true culinary aptitude
at the exclusive Michelin-starred restaurant Twenty One at the
