Qatar Airways Enhances Online Options for Privilege Club Members

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Tuesday, 21 July 2009

Qatar Airways has upgraded its Privilege Club website to allow members to instantly redeem rewards earned through their accrued Qmiles online.

The enhancement allows Privilege Club members to check the availability of award seats for the month of the requested date of travel and for upcoming months. This makes the redemption process faster and more transparent for the customer and offers more options to decide when to travel and redeem Qmiles.

The qmiles.com site allows customers not only to book, but also to pay taxes online and to receive an e-ticket, which can easily be printed at home or in the office.

The new facility offers Privilege Club members who have accrued sufficient Qmiles to redeem an award ticket and to combine different cabin classes of their journey. For instance, on a flight from London to Singapore, the customer can choose to fly in First Class from London to Doha, and connect onwards from Qatar Airways’ hub in Economy Class to its final destination of Singapore.

Furthermore, if members do not have sufficient Qmiles for their desired award ticket, the new booking engine will offer them the opportunity to purchase additional ones.

Privilege Club members earn Qmiles every time they fly Qatar Airways or when they use any of the services of programme partners, including co-branded credit cards, hotels and partner airlines.
