Marriott has opened The Sandalwood, Beijing Executive Apartments. With 168 one, two and three-bedroom, fully serviced apartments with around-the-clock staff, the property offers guests a quiet oasis within the capital city’s busy central business district.

Marriott’s fourth extended stay property in China and second in Beijing is under a management agreement with Beijing Fu Wah Furniture Enterprise. Chris Shum is general manager and Bonnie Yang the director of marketing.

To celebrate its opening, a special ntroductory rate of CNY880 per night for a one bedroom unit is being offered until 31 December 2009.

Located near Beijing International Airport and surrounded by cultural attractions, businesses and one of the largest golf driving ranges in Beijing, the Sandalwood MEA is in an ideal location for business travellers. The hotel is also within walking distance of the world-famous China Red Sandalwood Museum.

Internet is available in apartments as well as in common areas. Walk-in closets in the master bedrooms provide guests with ample space to spread out, and a professional workspace and full kitchen give each unit a residential, home-like feel. Most apartments have private balconies and all are equipped with an entertainment system with 42" inch flat panel satellite television and DVD player.

An Asian and Western gourmet breakfast is served daily at the private resident lounge. Guests have 24-hour access to the fitness centre, complete with heated 25-meter indoor infinity pool, steam and sauna facilities, and a spacious playroom for children. Private meeting rooms are available as well. Laundry and personalized concierge services provide guests the advantages of a five star hotel.

The Sandalwood MEA’s close proximity to the Beijing subway helps guests to manoeuvre around the city with ease.
