Swissôtel appoints Julian van den Bogaerde as Regional Vice-President, China

Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts has appointed Mr Julian van den Bogaerde as Regional Vice-President, China.
This appointment is in addition to his current role as General Manager of Swissôtel Grand, Shanghai, a position he assumed in October 2008.

Prior to his appointment in Shanghai, Mr van den Bogaerde was based in the head office of Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts in Zurich as General Manager. During this time, he provided support to various properties around the world, in particular Swissôtel Ankara where he led the pre-opening team for Swissôtel Grand Efes, Izmir which opened in May 2008.

Julian van den Bogaerde joined Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts as Executive Assistant Manager in 2003 where he was part of the team that successfully re-branded Swissôtel Nai Lert Park, Bangkok. Subsequently in 2005, he was appointed General Manager of Swissôtel Amsterdam.

Before joining Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts, Mr van den Bogaerde was Vice President Food & Beverage with Raffles International Limited from 1999 – 2003. His career history also includes various Food & Beverage management positions with The Regent in Bangkok and Sydney, Four Seasons in Vancouver, and The Savoy in London.
