Shilla Seoul Enhances Dynasty Rewards

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Videos Friday, 20 November 2009

The Shilla Seoul has upgraded its exclusive guest recognition and rewards programme 'Dynasty Rewards' to offer regular guests and new members more instant benefits.

Immediately upon registering as a member, Shilla guests can enjoy a 20% discount on room rates. Reward points start accumulating with the first US dollar spent and can be redeemed on reaching 2,000 points – the equivalent of spending KRW 2 million, or about US$1,700 (currency changes might apply).

Points can be exchanged for American Express travellers cheques, Samsung gift certificates, complimentary accommodation, room upgrades and gift certificates from The Leading Hotels of the World, which can be redeemed at more than 400 luxury hotels worldwide.

Alternatively, points can be exchanged for airline frequent flyer miles.

While registration as a ‘Dynasty Rewards’ programme member earns instant room rate discounts, incentives accumulate with the more nights stayed at The Shilla.

After three visits, or eight nights within a calendar year, members become eligible for Gold status – earning a 25% discount on room rates, complimentary upgrade to an Executive Floor Room, plus an additional 10% rewards points. Extra bonuses include 20% discount on laundry, 5% discount at hotel restaurants and complimentary access to the sauna.

Dynasty and Gold status members will get a Silver Duty-Free card; Platinum and Diamond status members will get a Gold Duty-free card.

Guests earn a Silver card for purchases of US$400 or more within two calendar years and a Gold card for spending of US$4,000 or more within 5 years.

Members of Dynasty Club automatically get Duty Free Membership earning 10% discount on Silver cards and 15% discounts on Gold cards.

After seven visits in a year, or 18 nights, Platinum status earns even more benefits on top – including a 30% discount on room rates, 20% extra ‘Dynasty Rewards’ points, complimentary use of an Executive Floor meeting room for every stay and no additional charge for double occupancy.

Diamond status, achieved after 16 stays, or 40 nights, in a year earns a 35% discount on room rates, 30% more rewards points, 10% discount on restaurants, complimentary upgrade to a Suite Room, two complimentary nights in an Executive Grand Deluxe Room, complimentary use of the Executive Floor Lounge, early check-in (9am) and late check-out (5pm).

The Shilla Seoul and The Shilla Jeju are affiliated with the Samsung Corporation and are both members of The Leading Hotels of the World.
