Bangkok Airways launches One Day Panda Promotion to Chiang Mai

Bangkok Airways in cooperation with Fah Thai Holidays has launched a one-day package to Chiang Mai. The promotion is designed to allow people to say hello to the now famous baby panda, he first baby panda to be born anywhere in the world this year.

Travellers can fly directly to Chiang Mai to visit Chiang Mai Zoo, Aquarium and Panda’s home (Lin Hui and Chuang Chuang).

The one-day trip includes a return air ticket between Bangkok – Chiang Mai, admission fee for Chiang Mai Zoo, guide tour, transfer and lunch, all for only 4,500 baht net for adults and 3,500 net baht for children under the age of 15.

This special promotion is available until 24 October 2009.

China loaned Lin Hui and her mate Chuang Chuang to Thailand six years ago. Lin Hui gave birth to her first baby panda in Thailand on May 27 after being artificially inseminated.

Under the current loan agreement Thailand must return Lin Hui and Chuang Chuang after 10 years, and any cubs within 2 years of birth.
