Marriott has opened its first branded hotel in
Colombia, the Bogota Marriott Hotel. The hotel is operated under a
franchise agreement with Real Hotels & Resorts, a subsidiary of
Grupo Poma of El Salvador.
The 239-room Bogota Marriott Hotel is
located in the center of Bogotaís newest business and
commercial district of Salitre.
district includes a wide variety of restaurants, shops, and
theatres, all located within the commercial areas of Salitre Plaza
and Gran Estacion.
The district is also adjacent to the cityís
industrial district which is home to many of Bogotaís largest and
most important businesses. It is just a 10-minute
drive from Bogotaís El Dorado International Airport.
For meetings and events, the
hotel offers 930 square meters of function space including eight
rooms of varying sizes and configuration. The hotelís largest
conference space is the ballroom, which is 372 square meters,
ideal for a conference, exhibit, or social event.

For dining and entertainment the hotel
offers Pimento restaurant, serving three meals daily. Tanoshii Lounge & Sushi Bar, open daily. A lobby bar, which offers continental breakfast, is located
on the hotelís main level. The lobby lounge area offers expansive
views of the hotel terraces and exterior gardens, designed by
famed Colombia landscape architect, Ramiro Olarte.

To celebrate its opening, the
Bogota Marriott Hotel is offering an itroductory rate
of US$245 plus tax per night.
In addition to the Bogota Marriott
Hotel, Marriott International and Real Hotels & Resorts
will partner on a second hotel in Colombia in 2010, the
JW Marriott Hotel Bogota.
