Thistle Johor Bahru to Feature Floor Exclusively for Women

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Thursday, 18 June 2009

Thistle Johor Bahru will feature one floor exclusively for women when it opens in July.

The Ladies Floor, an option which is becoming more and more popular with hotels in the region, will provide women staying at the hotel with tailor made services and amenities. But that’s not all, women staying at the Thistle Johor Bahru, when traveling solo, will even be offered a personal pet to keep them company during their stay.

Situated on Level 12 of Thistle Johor Bahru, featuring 13 king-sized bedrooms, two twin-bedrooms, 10 Hollywood Twins with a sea view, and one terrace, the ladies floor is designed for the travelling executive woman seeking increased security and privacy.

With well appointed furnishings and serviced only by female staff such as security and room service, the ladies floor features special amenities such as loofahs, a yukata (a Japanese Summer kimono) with matching slippers, an eye mask for tired eyes and four different kinds of tea for a relaxing evening after a hectic schedule.

For ladies who prefer a little company during their stay are also given the option of fostering a ‘personal pet’ upon check-in to help provide relaxation during their stay – a little gold fish.

Joy Faber, Director of Rooms of Thistle Johor Bahru, said, “Industry reports have shown that the number of female executives travelling alone has increased considerably, which creates an opportunity for hotels to provide services tailored specifically for this audience. The elements we offer will ensure women guests at our hotel receive a service custom made especially for them, whilst providing them with something very unique and special to remember.”
