Cheap airfares coupled with some amazingly low rates for accommodation and car hire are helping to boost Australian visitors to New Zealand.

With Australian tourists opting for shorter mini-breaks and international destinations that are close to home, New Zealand has become one of the most popular and affordable holiday destinations.

To meet the growing demand for short-break and self-drive holidays Europcar has released a range of three-day car hire deals available from selected outlets throughout New Zealand.

Australian and New Zealand travellers can make the most of a long weekend by taking a three-day road trip in New Zealand for under NZ$100 (A$78).

Europcar is offering three day car hire for economy vehicles from $99 (A$77), Compact vehicles from $109 (A$85), Intermediate vehicles from $119 (A$93) and full size vehicles from $159 (A$124).

The offer is available at participating Europcar locations throughout New Zealand and applies to three-day rentals with a pick-up date before June 30 2009.

An unlimited kilometre cap applies and price refers to base rental cost and GST only.
