Grand Lapa Hotel launches Macau Grand Prix Promotion

The Macau Grand Prix is one of the most prestigious and competitive motor racing events in the world today, uniquely combining competitions for Formula 3, FIA World Touring Cars and 1000cc motorcycles all at one action-packed event.

Located right on the first high-speed bend of the 56th Macau Grand Prix circuit, the Grand Lapa Hotel is a perfect spot to see all the action during this thrilling international racing meet. Guests can even watch the action from the comfort of their luxurious rooms, not far from the famous Mandarin Oriental Bend and just a stone’s throw from the race starting line.

This year’s race will be held from 19 to 22 November, and during the period the Grand Lapa Hotel will be offering two and three-night Grand Prix Packages putting sports fans in the middle of the action. Prices start from HK$4,300 and include:

• Accommodation
• Buffet breakfast for two at Café Bela Vista
• Free use of the outdoor temperature-controlled swimming pool, outdoor Jacuzzi, gymnasium and aerobics studio
• Shuttle bus transfer between Macau Ferry Terminal and the hotel

Guests can also enjoy The Grand Lapa Hotel’s exclusive dining events, that have been created just for racing fans.

5th Floor Grand Terrace

The 5th Floor Grand Terrace will be open on the 21 and 22 November from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. especially for the event, providing a superb location for all-day racing celebrations throughout the Grand Prix weekend. At this open-air venue guests can soak up all sights and sounds from the challenging 6.2 kilometre street circuit, cheering on drivers as they fly through the Mandarin Oriental Bend at breakneck speeds. Live track action will also be shown on the Terrace’s giant TV wall. A special barbecue will be held throughout each day, serving a sizzling variety of Asian and Macanese delicacies.

The entrance fee is MOP550 nett per person per day, and includes an all-day barbecue and drinks.

Grand Party by The Pool

Later on Saturday evening as the dust settles on the Guia Circuit, the party will continue with a Grand Party by The Pool. The Grand Lapa Hotel’s 15,000 square metres of resort with a magnificent oasis-style pool area serves as a venue for one of the best Grand Prix parties in town. There will be live music, a magnificent array of tantalising international cuisine as well as great games and fun for all.

The Grand Party By The Pool will be held on Saturday, 21 November from 6 to 11 p.m. Admission is MOP350 nett per person.

The Grand Prix Party package includes a two-day pass to the 5th Floor Grand Terrace and a ticket to the Grand Party By The Pool, for just MOP1350 nett per person. Bookings of eight persons per table for either of the above events will receive an additional 10% discount.

Food Boulevard

All hotel guests over the weekend can also view race action from the hotel’s main entrance, where snacks and take-away barbecue items will be available from the Food Boulevard.

The Food Boulevard will be open on the 21 and 22 November from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Rates quoted are subject to 10% service charge and 5% government tourism tax unless otherwise stated, and are subject to room availability.
