Kingfisher Airlines launches Chennai - Salem Flights

India's Kingfisher Airlines has launched daily direct flights between Chennai and Salem. The flights are being operated using ATR aircraft.

The flights between Chennai and Salem are being operated as Kingfisher Red service which features complimentary hot food and a choice of beverages, reading material, frequent flier privileges and multiple check-in options.

The flights are conveniently timed with flight, IT 4737 departing from Chennai at 14:50 and arriving in Salem at 15:50. The return flight, IT 4738 takes off from Salem at 16:20 and reaches Chennai at 17.20.

Commenting on the launch of the new sector, Mr. Prakash Mirpuri, Vice President-Corporate Communications, Kingfisher Airlines Limited said, “The launch of this route marks the first time ever that any airline is operating flights between these two cities. With our excellent onward connectivity, we expect that these flights will offer businessmen and political leaders a convenient option. This new direct flight will offer travelers an easier and more convenient way to get to Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad from Salem via Chennai.”
