Hong Kong Airport launches Shopping Promotions

Hong Kong International Airport has launched three promotions offering special discounts and an enhanced shopping experience for all passengers, visitors and business travellers at its Terminal 1 and 2.

To celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, HKIA is offering a special festive promotion until 3 October 2009. For a total spending of HK$800 or more made by credit card, EPS and Octopus at shops and restaurants located in the non-restricted areas in Terminal 1 and 2, passengers and visitors can redeem one HK$20 “mooncake and food cash coupon” for Kee Wah Bakery and Wing Wah Cake Shop at HKIA.

The cash coupons may be redeemed at the redemption booth located at level 8 of Terminal 1 or Level 3 of Terminal 2 upon presentation of the sales receipts, transaction slips or the actual Octopus card. Each customer can redeem a maximum of one coupon each day and calculation of total spending is limited to two purchases with receipts made on the same day.

Also, until 31 October 2009, China UnionPay (CUP) cardholders can enjoy up to 30% discount and redeem gifts from 50 stores and entertainment facilities at Terminals 1 and 2 at HKIA when spending with their CUP cards. Terms and conditions of different stores apply.

Cardholders from Chinese Mainland can also quadruple their CUP points when making purchases at the participating store outlets.

Until 15 December 2009, exhibition buyers can enjoy up to 50% discounts from around 20 stores and restaurants at Terminals 1 and 2 upon presentation of promotional leaflets issued by HKTB.

In addition, overseas exhibition buyers who spend over HK$2,000 at any outlet at Terminal 2 at HKIA can get a complimentary Priority Pass Standard Membership valid for one year. Priority Pass members are entitled to enjoy airport VIP lounge services at more than 600 airport lounges worldwide, including the Plaza Premium Lounge and the Traveler’s Lounge at Terminal 1 at HKIA. All lounges at HKIA are equipped with business support facilities to provide a comfortable environment to business travelers for work and rest. Exhibition buyers can redeem the membership pass at the redemption booth on level 3 of Terminal 2. Calculation of total spending is limited to two purchases with receipts from two different stores made on the same day.

With spending over HK$300 at Terminal 2, visitors can also receive three hours of free parking at Car Park 2 with spending over HK$300 at Terminal 2. Calculation of total spending is limited to two same-day receipts and the offer is available from now until 13 December 2009.
