Michael Faulkner joins The Opposite House in Beijing as DOSM

Michael Faulkner has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at The Opposite House in Beijing.

Mr Faulkner’s experience includes five years with well known and international luxury hotels in China and Australia, as well as several years at the Metropolitan in London where he was also Director of Sales and Marketing.

“We are delighted to welcome someone of Michael’s calibre to the team at The Opposite House. His wealth of experience in successfully positioning independent luxury hotels in the Beijing market will be a large benefit to us,” said General Manager, Anthony Ross.

In other movements, Alex Chen has been appointed Director of Sales after successfully launching The Opposite House as Communications Manager. Juliana Loh has joined the team as Communications Manager, after several years as an advertising creative and journalist.

The Opposite House is located at The Village in Sanlitun, a vibrant new open-plan shopping, dining and entertainment destination developed by Swire Properties.

The hotel’s 99 guest studios, including 9 spacious suites and a penthouse duplex, are amongst the largest in Beijing. More than half of all the rooms are over 70 sqm and all are strikingly simple with natural wooden floors and subtle touches of Chinese décor.
